MANIFESTO

Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) – Germany Branch

Manifesto 2025–2026

1. Registration and Account Setup

Within the first four weeks from the date of this manifesto, the executive shall complete the official registration and structural setup of the SLPP Germany Branch account.

Full cooperation is expected from the outgoing executives—namely, the Chairman, Secretary General, and Financial Secretary—to ensure a smooth and transparent transition process.

2. Strategic Alliance with the Embassy of Sierra Leone in Berlin

The SLPP Germany Branch hereby extends its formal allegiance and partnership to the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Berlin.

We recognize His Excellency, the Ambassador, as an integral member of our SLPP family. Given his wealth of experience and the Party’s role in national governance, his collaboration is deemed essential in advancing the welfare of our members and realizing our shared objectives. Even though we accept the fact that he is here to seek the interest of all Sierra Leones, be it member of the party or not.

We respectfully seek his continued support, advice, and cooperation in all matters that promote unity and progress within our community.

3. Bilingual Digital Presence

A bilingual website (English and German) will be launched within the first two weeks of this administration. This site will serve as the official communication hub for all SLPP Germany Branch activities, news, and announcements, and will introduce the newly elected executive members.

Social media platforms will continue to be used; however, all engagements will be guided by the principles of respect, inclusivity, and tolerance.

  • Personal attacks and divisive rhetoric will not be tolerated.

  • A monitoring body will be appointed to oversee online discussions and report to the Secretary General and Vice Chairman.

  • Administrative rights will be limited to two executive members and one non-executive member to prevent misuse of digital access.

4. Membership Growth Targets

The SLPP Germany Branch aims to expand its membership as follows:

  • 100 members within the first 100 days of 2025

  • 200 members by mid 2026

To achieve these targets, strategic rallies will be organized across major German cities, including Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, and one selected city within North Rhine–Westphalia (NRW).

5. Inauguration & Send-Off Ceremony

A vibrant inauguration and send-off event will be organized, extending formal invitations to:

  • The Executive of the All People’s Congress (APC)

  • Diplomatic representatives from the Sierra Leone Embassy in Berlin

  • SLPP regional delegates from the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, and Scandinavia

  • High-ranking members of the SLPP National Executive Council (NEC)

An Organizing Committee shall be established immediately to plan logistics, protocol, and event coordination.

6. Historic Celebrations

In the year 2026, the SLPP Germany Branch will commemorate two landmark occasions:

  • Founding of the SLPP – April 19, 1951

  • Independence Day of Sierra Leone – April 27, 1961

These celebrations will be held jointly to honor the Party’s rich legacy and the nation’s enduring independence.

7. European Umbrella Organization

It is proposed that Germany host the continental European umbrella organization of the SLPP.

Potential host cities include Berlin and Munich, though alternative venues may be considered through open and democratic discussion among members and partner branches.

8. NEC Participation and Financial Obligations

The SLPP Germany Branch reaffirms its commitment to fulfilling all financial contributions and obligations to the National Executive Council (NEC).

This commitment ensures our branch’s full participation in the nomination and election of the SLPP Flag Bearer for 2026/2027.

9. Membership Expansion 2026

Our ultimate objective by the end of 2026 is to achieve a significant membership increase beyond the targets set for 2025.

This goal represents a shared responsibility and a collective vision. Every member of the SLPP Germany Branch is called upon to champion this commitment with unity, diligence, and dedication to the Party’s principles and values.
